    Today, in an increasingly competitive environment mostly dependent on technological developments, businesses need to set different characteristics from other institutions in order to sustain their assets. In this context, it can be said that the most important characteristic that the businesses can have when estimating how they can make a difference to be compared to the other institutions is having qualified employees. Career planning is a process that is srictly dependent on one's self-development. It can be said it is a way starting with inherent of the one has and ending with adding new improvements to the one's abilities related with profession. In this context, as rejuvenises takes for a long time by human's nature, career planning can be a long and quite hard process. Career planning, on the other hand, is a process in which the employees understand what the opportunities they need are to get a particular status, and in addition to foreseeing the consequences that will arise on their behalf from this status, they can determine the accessibility of the goals they plan to achieve and the competencies they need to achieve them all. When a healthy career planning is implemented, the job satisfaction and motivation of the employees who are employed in the appropriate occupational groups will also increase accordingly. This study is a wide-ranging study of career planning, which has great importance for both employees and corporations and in addition the influence of the career planning on job motivation of employees is also examined.
