Animasyon ilişkisi perspektifinde bilgi tasarımı ve bilginin görselleştirilmesi
    (2019) Elmaskaya, Cihangir; Okay, İsmail
The connection between the development of civilisation and knowledge recording systems such as paintings and writings have been an important subject of research. Those past recordings unveil the development of knowledge transferring skills of early humans and its progress throughout the history. This study examines the development of information design and visualization techniques and methods from a historical perspective. The thesis outlines the classification systems and methods used in information design that emerged as a result of this development process. Visualization of information is considered to be art as well as science. The rapid development of digital technologies and the animation techniques allow designers to create visually impressive content. Previous researches reveal that information visualizations made with animation technique are perceived in a different way than the traditional static ones. And it is indeed necessary to investigate the cognitive effects of animated information visualizations on individuals. The main objective of this study is to investigate the relationship between human cognition and the effects of animation in learning process. During this research, new knowledge has been gained about visualization of information in the context of animation and its effects on human perception. It is anticipated that this study, communicate and contribute to the importance of information design and offer opportunities for new designers and academics for further discussions and creativity.
