The chapter delves into the interplay between the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the stakeholders of the tourism sector. These SDGs established to be fulfilled by 2030 encompass a wide array of global challenges such as poverty education gender equality environmental sustainability and more. The chapter emphasizes how the tourism sector encompassing customers employees investors suppliers and local communities can contribute to and align with these goals. The concept of inclusive tourism management and business models is introduced as a framework to effectively integrate sustainable practices within the tourism sector. This chapter elucidates the connection between inclusive business concepts and the overarching goal of sustainable development. Key aspects like sustainable consumption and production responsible use of ocean resources and inclusive economic growth are spotlighted as crucial foci for the contribution of the tourism sector. By dissecting each of the 17 SDGs the chapter analyzes how tourism stakeholders can synchronize their efforts with these goals. It not only discusses the ways in which the tourism sector directly and indirectly impacts the SDGs but also provides actionable recommendations for each stakeholder group.
