Book Part Citation - Scopus: 7Applying fuzzy logic to the assessment of latent economic features(River Publishers, 2023) A. G. Yankovyi; Oksana Valentynivna Tsimoshynska; Viktor Koval; Yigit Kazancoglu; V. Kotlubai; Liliya M. Filipishyna; Koval, Viktor; Yankovyi, Oleksandr; Kotlubai, Viacheslav; Tsimoshynska, Oksana; Kazancoglu, Yigit; Filipishyna, LiliyaThe impossibility of direct measurement of some economic features in the metric scale prompted researchers to use specific mathematical and statistical apparatus in their evaluation in particular the combination of expert scores with models and methods of fuzzy logic. Such latent features at the micro-level include financial condition competitiveness investment attractiveness the global criterion of optimality priority of the company's investment projects etc. The concepts and essence of latent economic signs are discussed their definition and connection with scales of measurement of indicators of commodity producers are given and also the four-level hierarchical model of latent sign "competitiveness" of the company is investigated. The methods of estimation of latent economic signs existing in modern science are considered and their classification is offered. In the example of the sign of "competitiveness" of the company methods of estimating latent indicators based on a combination of expert opinions and algorithms of fuzzy sets and fuzzy logic are considered. The method of determining the weights of the symptom factors of the desired latent economic indicator based on their pairwise comparison is discussed (Saaty process). © 2023 Elsevier B.V. As a transition to a low carbon environment occurs the role of renewable and sustainable energy systems in urban areas is benefiting industry and the environment alike. From this perspective the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) have a lot to offer to the energy industry particularly the integration of renewable and sustainable energy systems for environmental protection in cities. This study presents a comprehensive view that integrates technological economic political and social challenges confronted with the effective implementation of renewable and sustainable energy in urban cities and proposes a solution agenda to overcome these hurdles with the aid of the SDGs. The weights for the challenges of adopting renewable and sustainable energy systems were determined using the Fuzzy Best-Worst Method. The SDGs were then ranked using the fuzzy TOPSIS technique to overcome predetermined challenges. The originality of this study lies in finding solutions to the determined challenges by adopting SDGs emphasizing the need for integrated solutions that address energy-related concerns and highlighting the role and importance of SDGs in environmental protection. The study highlights the importance of SDGs in promoting renewable energy integration in urban areas with SDG 11 being the most crucial to mitigate harmful environmental occurrences related to energy-related issues in urban areas followed by SDG 7 and SDG 13.Book Part Citation - Scopus: 11Evaluating the effectiveness of enterprises' digital transformation by fuzzy logic(River Publishers, 2023) Oleg Kaminsky; Viktor Koval; Julia Yereshko; Natalia Vdovenko; Mykhailo Bocharov; Yigit Kazancoglu; Bocharov, Mykhailo; Kaminsky, Oleg; Koval, Viktor; Kazancoglu, Yigit; Yereshko, Julia; Vdovenko, NataliiaThe study analyzes the trends in the digital economy as well as some aspects of an enterprise's digital transformation in modern conditions and also determines the criteria and directions for such a transformation according to the developed ecosystem model for the enterprise's digital transformation based on fuzzy logic. The proposed model takes into account the subjectivity resulting from the measurement and setting of transformation goals by using various standardized rules. The chosen research methodology made it possible to identify existing and new patterns of interaction between agents in the context of digital transformation of the organizational and economic system of an enterprise and to determine that an enterprise digital transformation strategy should have a broader focus and include information architecture reengineering the creation of digital platforms and introduction of additive technologies. Choosing a digital transformation strategy based on summary performance indicators and fuzzy logic methods will allow companies to achieve long-term strategic goals and determine their place in the digital market. © 2023 Elsevier B.V. KovalSustainability concerns are becoming pressing in the hospitality sector which requires incorporating the green innovation approach to yield excellent business performance and preserve the environment. However the drivers that underpin green innovation have yet to be comprehensively established. This study aims to examine the drivers of green innovation and investigate top management support as a moderator. Data were sourced from 121 eco-friendly hotels which comprised 276 respondents analyzed with SEM-PLS. The results demonstrated that embedding environmental strategies significantly affected top management support and green innovation. In addition the results notably denoted that top management support mediated and moderated the relationship between environmental strategies and green innovation. This paper also discusses the theoretical and managerial implications in further detail. © 2023 Elsevier B.V. Wayan Edi Arsawan; Yigit Kazancoglu; Iryna Lomachynska; Hanna Skyba; Ratnawati, Kusuma; Koval, Viktor; Skyba, Hanna; Arsawan, I Wayan Edi; Kazancoglu, Yigit; Lomachynska, IrynaPurpose - The current study evaluates the linkage between financial literacy and the sustainable business performance model with access to finance and fintech adoption. Further the moderating role of top management support in the linkage between financial literacy toward access to finance and fintech adoption was verified. Research methodology - This research was conducted in the SME sector in Indonesia. The sample frame were 261 SMEs and 783 respondents from three levels of management. Data was collected in the October-December 2023 period. Data were obtained utilizing Likert-scaled questionnaires and analyzed using SmartPLS. Findings - The results demonstrate that financial literacy is an instrumental driver of access to finance and fintech adoption that promotes sustainability performance. Subsequently the study highlights the critical role of access to finance and fintech adoption as the mediator and top management support as moderator. Research limitations - The study is solely performed on the SME sector in one country, thus the findings' generalization is lacking. Practical implications - SME managers need to upgrade their financial literacy because financially knowledgeable managers are keenly informed of the costs benefits and risks related to funding schemes to encourage sustainable performance. Originality/Value / Value - Empirical research that explores the implication of financial literacy on access to finance and fintech adoption in promoting sustainability performance is lacking reported solely on manufacturing companies and banks. Meanwhile the SME sector especially in developing countries is understudied. Consequently the initial study leads the examination of financial literacy's role in enhancing access to finance and fintech adoption to foster the sustainability performance of SMEs.Conference Object Citation - Scopus: 3Modelling eco-friendly behaviour towards environmental performance: a proposition approach(Institute of Physics, 2024) Amiril Azizah; I. Wayan Edi; Kazancoglu, Yigit; Abdullah, Nor’AinThe role of the hospitality industry in environmental conservation efforts has been studied in the existing literature. However the models built are still separate and in the context of single anchor theory. By conducting content analysis of 500 literatures in the field of environmental reputation the current study aimed to produces a comprehensive model described in five main propositions for environmental preservation. First proposition revealed about GHRM in encouraging environmental concern proposition two explain the role of environmental concern in encouraging eco innovation proposition three integrating eco innovation and sustainable business performance model proposition four explaining sustainable business performance model to enhance environmental reputation and legitimacy and proposition five revealed about possibilities to incorporating anchor theory. The discussion is presented in the paper. © 2025 Elsevier B.V.
