Çok Kültürlü Sınıflar: Sınıflarda Kapsayıcı Öğrenme ve Öğretim (MULTICLASS)

Abstract

Dünyadaki hızlı değişim sadece ekonomiyi değil, eğitim sistemlerini de etkiliyor. Erasmus ve Mevlana gibi değişim programları sayesinde yükseköğretimdeki yabancı öğrenci sayısı her geçen gün artıyor. Ayrıca, devlet bursları, üniversitelerin sunduğu çevrimiçi eğitim kursları ve nihayetinde mülteci ve sığınmacı sayısındaki artış, farklı din, dil, kültür ve etnik kökenlerden gelen yabancı öğrenci sayısını artıran diğer faktörler. Bu durumla başa çıkmak ve etkili, kaliteli, kapsayıcı ve çok kültürlü bir eğitim sağlamak için üniversitelerdeki temel aktörler "öğretim görevlileri"dir. Bu bağlamda proje, akademik personelin çok kültürlü ve çok dilli bir ortamda çalışabilmeleri için beceri ve yeterliliklerini geliştirmeyi amaçlamaktadır. Bu amaca ulaşmak için proje kapsamında: 1) Yükseköğretim kurumlarındaki öğretim elemanlarına yönelik çok kültürlü sınıf yönetimi konusunda yenilikçi bir hizmet içi eğitim kursu müfredatı ve metodolojisi geliştirilecek, 2) Öğretim sürecinin çok kültürlü boyutunu iyileştirmek için yenilikçi öğretim materyalleri hazırlanacak, 3) Yapılacak kısa süreli personel eğitimleriyle öğretim elemanlarının çok kültürlü sınıf yönetimi konusunda becerilerini geliştirmeleri teşvik edilecektir.

The rapid change in the world affects not only the economy but also education systems. Due to exchange programs such as Erasmus and Mevlana, the number of foreign students in higher education is increasing day by day. In addition, government scholarships, online education courses offered by universities, and ultimately the increase in the number of refugees and asylum seekers are other factors that increase the number of foreign students from different religions, languages, cultures and ethnicities. In order to cope with this situation and to provide an effective, high quality, inclusive and multicultural education, the main actors in universities are the “lecturers”. In this context, the project aims to develop the skills and competencies of academic staff in order to work in a multicultural and multilingual environment. In order to achieve this aim, within the scope of the project: 1) An innovative in-service training course curriculum and methodology for HEI teaching staff on the management of multicultural classrooms will be developed, 2) Innovative teaching materials will be prepared to improve the multicultural dimension of the teaching process, 3) With the short-term staff training to be carried out, the instructors will be encouraged to develop their skills for the management of multicultural classrooms.
