Feminist perspektiften Türkiye' de kadınların işgücüne katılımı

Abstract

This study includes an attempt to present female labor force participation in Turkey with feminist view and focuses on a leading social role as patriarchy that determines female participation to labor force in Turkey. It emphasizes that women are employed unsecured, unorganized and flexible works rather than full-time works in Turkey. To attribute all inequalities between men and women to sex differences legitimize the social role differences. With this view, the roles charged on women and men as gender is considered in this thesis. The acquired rights from women' s liberation movement is examined that make for feminization of employment and the increased rate of women in the labor force market. Feminism is a critical consciousness raising activity and a theory of power against systematic pressure on inequality In the frame of historical and theoretical background, it is suggested that the obstacles and restraints that get under control women' s work, are the lack of access to education, women' s marital status, the age factor, the motherhood myth, working without social protection in the informal sector, forced migration, gender-based discrimination in job selection. This study aims to contribute to the discussions with feminist care on the survival of women in labor force in Turkey.

Bu çalışma, Türkiye' de kadınların işgücüne katılımını kadın bakış açısından sunmaya dair bir çabayı içerir ve Türkiye' de kadınların işgücüne katılımının en önemli belirleyicisi olan ataerki gibi güçlü bir toplumsal mesele üzerine odaklanır. Türkiye' nin emek piyasasında kadınların tam zamanlı işlerde değil; güvencesiz, örgütsüz, esnek işlerde istihdam edildiğini vurgular.Toplumsal rol farklılaşmasını meşru kılan, kadınlar ve erkekler arasındaki her türlü eşitsizliğin biyolojik cinsiyete atfedilmesidir. Bu görüşle, kadın ve erkek üzerine kurulan inşayı toplumsal cinsiyet olarak addeden bu tezde, kadının özgürleşmesi için yürütülen mücadelede edinilen kazanımların kadınların işgücü piyasasında varolabilmesinin önünü de açacağı incelendi. Feminizmin katmanlı eşitsizlik baskısı karşısında eleştirel bir bilinç yükseltme etkinliği, bir iktidar kuramı olduğu araştırıldı ve tüm tarihsel ve teorik arkaplan çerçevesinde de kadın emeğini kontrol altında tutan engellerin ve kısıtların, kadının eğitimden yoksun kalması, enformel sektörde güvencesiz çalışmaya mahkum edilmesi, medeni durumu, kutsal annelik miti, yaş faktörü, göçe zorlanması ve meslek seçiminde cinsiyet temelli ayrımcılık olduğu önerildi.Bu çalışma, feminist kaygıyla Türkiye' de kadınların işgücü içerisindeki varlıklarına dair tartışmalara katkı sağlamayı hedeflemektedir.
