An analysis of the active tourist guides' perceptions on the effects of global pandemic on their profession in aegean region / Ege bölgesindeki aktif turist rehberlerinin Covid-19 pandemisinin mesleklerine etkisine dair algılarının bir analizi

Abstract

3 senedir hayatımızda bulunan Covid-19 pandemisi insanlığı çok yakından etkilemiştir. Pandemi hastalığın yayılmasının engellenmesi adına birtakım zorunluluklar getirdiği için birçok sektör işlemlerini durdurmuş ya da mininal düzeye taşımıştır. Covid-19 hastalığından en çok etkilenen sektörlerden birisi de turizm sektörüdür. Taşımacılık, yeme-içme, konaklama ve eğlence gibi turizmin birçok alanında hizmetler durma noktasına gelmiştir. Bu çalışmada, Covid-19 pandemisinin dünyada ve ülkemizde bıraktığı etkiler izlenmiştir. Çalışma sonunda ise, Ege bölgesinde bulunan turist rehberlerinin pandeminin kendi mesleklerine etkilerine dair algıları hakkında bilgi verilmektedir. Genel olarak, kuruluşlar, devlet yayınları, kitaplar ve çeşitli akademik makalelerden alıntılar yapılmıştır. Kendi algıları hakkında bilgi elde etme kapsamında Ege bölgesinde bulunan turist rehberlerine elektronik anket vasıtasıyla ulaşılmıştır. Ege bölgesinde bulunan Aydın Rehberler Odası, Muğla Rehberler Odası ve İzmir Rehberler Odası'na bağlı 2,260 adet rehber bulunmaktadır. Bu kapsamda, 1,564 aktif rehberden 183 kişiye ulaşılmıştır. Rehberlerden gelen yanıtlar Spss ile analiz edilmiştir. Bu veriler doğrultusunda, son kısımda onların algıları üzerinden öneriler sunulmuştur. The Covid-19 pandemic that has been in our lives for 3 years, has affected humanity very closely. Many sectors have stopped or minimized their operations because the pandemic has been bringing some necessities to prevent the spread of the virus. One of the most affected sectors by Covid-19 disease is tourism. Services in many areas of tourism such as transportation, food and beverages, accommodation and entertainment have come to a standstill. In this study, the effects of Covid-19 in the world and our country is monitored. At the end of the study, information about the perception of tourist guides who are in the Aegean region, on the effects of the pandemic on their profession, is given. Quotations are made from organizations, government publications, books and various academic articles. Tourist guides in the Aegean region were reached through an e-survey within the scope of obtaining information about their perceptions. There are 2,260 tourist guides from "Aydın Chamber of Tourist Guide", "Muğla Chamber of Tourist Guide" and lastly "İzmir Chamber of Tourist Guide" in the Aegean region. In this context, it is reached 183 tourist guides from the 1,564 active tourist guides. Answers from the tour guides were calculated as analytical via a computer program that is Spss. In line with these data, various suggestions were also given on their perceptions at the end.
