The Dilek Peninsula: Büyük Menderes delta

Abstract

The Dilek Peninsula (Dilek mountain) is in the northern part of the Büyük Menderes Delta while marshy fields and lagoons along the Delta coast lie to the south. These two natural units which seem to conflict with each other are actually complementary units of the same environment.
