Netflix bağlamında sinema dilindeki değişiklikler

Abstract

Sinema sanatını tiyatrodan ayıran en önemli sinematografik araçlardan biri olan yakın plan çekimler, dijital platformların küçük ekranlarında izlenebilmesiyle birlikte; seyirciyle karakter arasındaki yakınlığı korumak adına artıyor olabilir mi? Sinema perdesinde sıklıkla kullanıldığında izleyiciler tarafından rahatsız edici bulunabilecek bu yakın plan çekimler eğer bu bağlamda artıyorsa, bu yakın plan çekimlerin yönetmenlerin sinematografik tercihlerinden ziyade sektörün taleplerini karşılamak için kullanıldığı düşünülebilir. Bu da sinema sanatında kullanılan yakın plan çekimlerin gerçek sinematografik amaçlarını sorgulamamıza neden olabilir. Bu sorgulamaları ortaya çıkarabilmek amacıyla 2020 yılında Netflix'te en çok izlenen 10 film ile Hollywood'da en çok hasılat yapan 10 filmi, kullanılan yakın çekim türlerine göre nicel araştırma yöntemiyle karşılaştırıldı. Öncelikle bu yakın plan çekimlerin dijital platformlar için yapılan filmlerde, büyük ekran için yapılan filmlere göre gerçekten artıp artmadığı ortaya çıkarıldı. Bunun sonucunda da sinema sanatında ne gibi değişimlere yol açıldığı ve açılacağı tartışıldı. In order to reveal these questions, we compared the 10 most watched films on Netflix and the 10 highest grossing films in Hollywood in 2020, according to the types of close-up shots used, using the quantitative research method. First of all, we found out whether these close-up shots really increase in movies made for digital platforms compared to movies made for the big screen.
