The mother goddess and the reflections of mythological characters in comics today / Ana tanrıça ve mitolojik karakterlerin günümüz çizgi romanlarındaki yansımaları

Abstract

Ana tanrıça kavramı çok eski yıllardan beri toplumların yaşamını sürdürmesine yardımcı olmuştur. Bu tanrıçalar ders çıkartılacak hikâyeleriyle toplumların gelişiminde katkı sağlamıştır. Dünyanın her bir köşesinde birden fazla ana tanrıça bulunmaktadır. Bu tanrıçaların ortak noktaları ve farklılıkları mevcuttur. Bu araştırmamızda kaynaklarımızdan yola çıkarak Ana Tanrıça Kybele ve Kybele'nin günümüz çizgi romanlarına yansımaları gözlemlenmektedir. Yapılan araştırmalarla, ana tanrıça mitlerinin günümüz dünyasında da hikayelerini taşımaya devam ettirdiklerini söyleyebilmekteyiz. Günümüzde mitolojik karakterler olarak varlıklarını sürdüren bu ana tanrıçaların bir kısmını web-comiclerde görebilmekteyiz lakin, tarihsel açıdan daha geniş çaplı ve köklü bir geçmişe sahip olmasına karşın Kybele'nin bu öykülerdeki yerinin fazla olmadığını söyleyebiliriz. The concept of the Great Mother has been a guiding force for societies throughout ancient history, offering valuable lessons through their stories. These goddesses have played a significant role in the development of civilizations. Great Mother goddesses are found in various cultures around the world, sharing commonalities and unique attributes. Research focuses on the enduring presence of the Great Mother Cybele in contemporary comics. While many of these goddesses are depicted as mythological characters in web comics, we observe the reflection of the Great Mother Cybele and and her representation in contemporary comics However, even though Cybele may not be explicitly worshipped as a deity in modern society, her significance endures as a representation of nature itself, especially in light of the increasing awareness and concern about environmental issues. In the web-comic, we will delve into the adventures of our main character: Cybele, whose story revolves around the theme of the Great Mother. As an ancient deity representing nature and fertility, Cybele finds herself in the modern world, witnessing the environmental challenges humanity faces. Through her journey, she seeks to raise awareness and promote harmony with nature.
