Abstract
DSLR fotoğraf makineleri, sayısal video teknolojileri sayesinde video kamera olarak kullanılabilir hale gelmiştir. Toplumun her kesimine hitap edebildiği ve bu bağlamda sinemanın demokratikleşme sürecinde yer alabilecek bir cihaz haline geldiği söylenebilir. Artık her birey kendi filmini çekebilir ve internet sayesinde filminin gösterimini yapabilir hale gelmiştir. Bu çalışmanın sorusu ise şu olmaktadır: DSLR fotoğraf makinesi, sinemanın demokratikleşmesi sürecinde nasıl bir etkiye sahiptir? Bu tez çalışmasında, bireyin DSLR fotoğraf makinesi ile film çekebilmesinin sinemada nasıl bir etki yaratacağı konu edilmiştir. Bunun için önce bireyin sanat, kamera ve sinema ile olan ilişkileri ele alınmıştır. Ardından bazı sinema manifestoları değerlendirilmiştir. İlişkiler ile manifestolar, DSLR fotoğraf makinesinin doğasında da bulunan teknolojik, ekonomik, bireysel ve demokratik unsurlar kapsamında incelenmiştir. Cihaz tercihi ve film çekimini mümkün kılan donanımlar için de fiyat-performans bağlamı öne çıkarılarak video çerçevesince incelenmiştir. Cihaz ile sinema çalışmaları yapmış deneyim sahibi kişilerin düşüncelerine yer verilmiş, filmler örneklendirilmiştir. DSLR fotoğraf makinesi ile film yapım sürecini karşılayacağı düşünülen internet olanakları da incelenmiştir. Çalışmanın neticesinde DSLR fotoğraf makinelerinin sinemayı tamamıyla demokratikleştirdiğini söylemek anlaşılacağı üzere zordur. Ancak kapsama ve gizil gücü sayesinde, örneklerin de göz önünde bulundurulması ile sinemanın demokratikleşme sürecinde etkili olduğu görülmüştür.
DSLR cameras have become available to use as video cameras via digital video technology. DSLR cameras can be suitable for every segment of society, and in this context we can say that they have become a device which can take part in the democratization process of the cinema. Nowadays, every individual have a chanche to shoot their own film and show it through the internet. The question of this study is: What kind of an effect does the DSLR cameras have in the democratization process of cinema? The subject in this thesis study is about how an individual's capability of filming with a DSLR camera effects the cinema. Therefore, firstly the individual's relation with art, camera and cinema have been discussed. Then a number of film manifestos were evaluated. These relations and manifestos have been examined within the context of technological, economical, individual and democratical elements that are inherent in the DSLR camera. This examination is done by emphasizing the preferred device and the price-performance context for the equipment that makes shooting possible, as part of video. Opinions of the people who have experiences in shooting with DSLR cameras were included, and several films were exemplified. Additionally, internet facilities that have been considered to meet the film production process with DSLR cameras have also been examined. As a result of this study, it is understandably difficult to say that DSLR cameras completely democratize the cinema. However, due to its capacity and potential, when the present examples are considered, it has been seen to be effective in the process of democratization.
