Up-to-Date Design Analysis and an Application Study in Today’s Concepts Such as UI and UX and Internet Site Designs

Abstract

İnsanlık tarihi boyunca ihtiyaçlar ve bu ihtiyaçların karşılanma biçimi değişmekte ve gelişmektedir. Bu gelişim her alanda insan ihtiyaçlarının, niteliğin öncelikli olduğu estetik, kolay kullanım ve rahatlık unsurları doğrultusunda biçimlenmesini sağlamıştır. Bu durum dijital dünyada da tercih edilir hale gelmiştir. Kullanıcılar ve teknolojik cihazlar arasında iletişimi sağlayan grafiksel tasarımlar olarak ele alınan kullanıcı arayüzleri, dijital dünyadaki bu ihtiyaçlara en doğru şekilde cevap vermek için tasarlanmaktadır. 2000'li yıllara gelindiğinde internetin hızlı bir şekilde gelişmesi ve yaygınlaşması, arayüz tasarımlarını dijital dünyanın en önemli unsurlarından biri haline getirmiştir. Zaman içerisinde çeşitliliği artan internet siteleriyle internetteki bilgi artışı da devam etmekte ve bu bilginin takibi güçleşmektedir. Bu durum kullanıcıların bilgiye nasıl erişecekleri ve internet sitelerini nasıl daha aktif kullanacaklarına dair problemlerin oluşmasına neden olmuştur. Bundan dolayı hedef kullanıcılar tarafından tercih edilmesi istenen uygulama ve internet sitelerinin doğru ve nitelikli arayüz tasarlamaları zorunlu hale gelmiştir. Tasarım, renk, tipografi, görsel hiyerarşi, vurgu, oran-orantı gibi farklı unsurların bir araya gelerek organize bir şekilde düzenlenmesidir. UI, nitelikli ve doğru unsurlar kullanılarak tasarlandığında kullanıcılarda memnuniyeti sağlayarak internet sitesinin basit öğrenimini, hatırlanabilirliğini ve işlevselliğini arttırmakta ve tercih edilmesini olumlu yönde etkilemektedir. Kullanıcı arayüzü tasarımı, yenilik ve kullanıcı ihtiyaçları ön planda tutarak, kullanıcılar ve sistem arasındaki etkileşimi çoğaltıp sistemin en doğru ve verimli şekilde kullanılmasını sağlamaktadır. Ayrıca; bu tezin uygulama çalışmasında yukarıda değinilen noktalar dikkate alınarak kullanıcı odaklı bir internet sitesi tasarlanmış ve tezin üçüncü bölümü uygulama çalışmasına ayrılmıştır.

Throughout human history, the needs and the way of meeting these needs are changing and improving. This improvement has enabled human needs in every field to be shaped in line with the aesthetics, ease of use and comfort factors where quality is the priority. This situation has become preferred in the digital world too. User interfaces, which are considered as graphical designs that enable communication between users and technological devices, are designed to respond to these needs in the digital world in the most accurate way. In the 2000s, the rapid development and proliferation of the internet made interface designs as one of the most important elements of the digital world. With the increasing variety of internet sites over time, the increase in information on the internet continues and this information becomes difficult to follow. This situation has caused problems about how users can access information and how to use websites more actively. Therefore, it has become mandatory for applications to design correct and qualified interfaces, to be preferred by target users. Design is an organized arrangement of different elements such as color, typography, visual hierarchy, emphasis, ratio-proportion. When the UI is designed using qualified and correct elements, it increases the simple learning, recall and functionality of the website and positively affects the preference of the website by providing satisfaction to the users. The user interface design ensures that the system is used in the most accurate and efficient way by increasing the interaction between the users and the system by keeping the innovations and user needs in the foreground. Also; in the application study of this thesis, a user-oriented website was designed by considering the points mentioned above and the third part of the thesis was devoted to the application study.
