Abstract
Medya, demokrasinin ve toplumsal yaşamın vazgeçilmez bir unsuru olarak toplumun bilgilendirilmesi ve kamuoyunun sözcülüğünü yapmak gibi önemli görevler üstlenmektedir. Günümüzde medya sahip olduğu güç ile siyasetin ilgi alanına girmiş, medya-siyaset ilişkisi çok boyutlu ve karmaşık bir yapı kazanmıştır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, medya ve siyaset arasındaki ilişkiyi gündem belirleme modeli çerçevesinde incelemektir. Çalışma kapsamında gündem belirleme modelinden hareketle, ele alınan gazetelerde, hangi partilerin ağırlıklı olarak temsil edildiği ve hangi gündemlerle yansıtıldığı tespit edilmeye çalışılacaktır. Çalışmada içerik analizi kullanılacak olup siyasi partilerin gazetelerdeki temsili 04 Mayıs- 07 Haziran 2015 tarihleri arasında Ortadoğu, Gündem, Sözcü, Milliyet, Cumhuriyet, Hürriyet, Yeni Şafak, Sabah gazetelerinde yayınlanan ilk sayfa haberleri üzerinden incelenmiştir. Media is an indispensable element of democracy and social life and it has important tasks such as informing the public and spokesperson of the public. Nowadays, the media has entered the field of politics by using its power and the relationship between media and politics has gained a multidimensional and complex structure. The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between media and politics within the framework of agenda setting model. In this study, starting from the agenda setting model, it will be tried to determine which parties are mainly represented and which agendas are reflected in the newspapers covered. The content analysis will be used in the study and the representation of political parties in newspapers is examined through the first page news published in the newspapers, Ortadoğu, Gündem, Sözcü, Milliyet, Cumhuriyet, Hürriyet, Yeni Şafak and Sabah between 04 May and 07 June 2015.
