Abstract
Nowadays sustainability has become a critical issue aiming to achieve social environmental and economic goals simultaneously. Sustainability should be adopted for all production processes especially the product design phase. Since product design provides a significant difference between firms which has led to gaining strategic advantage. Therefore this study investigates the customer requirements and technical properties of designing sustainable beverage packaging. The Quality Function Deployment tool evaluates the importance of proposed customer requirements and technical properties. The Quality Function Deployment technique is crucial to make sustainable improvements in the design stage. This paper is provided various suggestions to industry for creating sustainable beverage packaging design. © 2023 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
