Tesis yerleşim planlaması ve bir işletmede uygulanması

Abstract

Facilities should keep under control their cost and eliminate their non-value added activities to compete with rivals in this competitive age. One of them is transportation cost. In a facility, none of tool, material and person does not have to move more than needed. The main purpose is to reduce transportation cost. In this thesis; facility layout planning, facility layout planning's importance, purpose and types are informed. Three layout alternatives are recommended for a company which operates in Izmir Ataturk Organized Zone. The total material handling distance in a day is 9,614 m for present layout. For the new recommended layouts with using Muther's SLP method, the total material handling distances reduced to 8,136 m and 7,298 m in a day. For the new recommended with using binary integer programming, the total material handling distance reduced to 6,338 m. If the new layout alternatives are applied; transportation distance will reduce, cost of product will reduce, labor force will not use their power more than needed, worker's motivation will increase and delivery time will reduce. Küresel rekabetin çetin olarak yaşandığı bu dönemde, işletmelerin rakipleriyle mücadele edebilmesi için maliyetlerini kontrol altında tutmaları ve ürüne değer katmayan faaliyetlerini ortadan kaldırmaları gerekmektedir. Bunlardan biri de taşıma maliyetleridir. İşletme içerisinde, hiçbir ekipman, malzeme ve insanın olması gerektiğinden daha fazla dolanmaması gerekmektedir. Temel amaç, taşıma maliyetini düşürmektir. Bu çalışmada; tesis yerleşim planı, tesis yerleşim planının önemi, amacı ve tipleri hakkında bilgiler verilmektedir. İzmir Atatürk Organize Sanayi Bölgesi'nde faaliyet gösteren bir işletmeye üç adet yeni yerleşim planı alternatifi önerildi. Mevcut yerleşim planında, günlük toplam taşıma mesafesi 9.614 m'dir. Muther'in SLP metodu kullanılarak önerilen yeni yerleşim planlarında günlük toplam taşıma mesafesi 8.136 m'ye ve 7.298 m'ye düşmüştür. İkili tamsayılı programlama kullanılarak önerilen yerleşimde ise 6.338 m'ye düşmüştür. Alternatif yerleşimlerin uygulanması halinde, taşıma mesafeleri düşecek, ürün maliyeti azalacak, işgücü enerjisini gerektiğinden fazla harcamayacak, çalışanların motivasyonu artacak ve teslimat süreleri kısalacaktır.
