Türkiye'de belgesel sinema ve Türk belgeselciliğinde Ertuğrul Karslıoğlu belgesellerinin yeri ve önemi

Abstract

Documentaries are the products of the cinema that are created upon the reinterpretation of the reality from the standpoint of the filmmaker. The most common definition of the documentary cinema is the creative interpretation of the reality. Documentary movies have reached to large number of audience within the cinema history surpassing hundred years owing to the reality constructing the basis of documentary cinema and passion of filmmaker to attain reality. Since the day it emerged, various genres arised in documentary cinema and new trends and producers that create their own cult have appeared. Documentary cinema works that appeal to large audience all over the world, also reached to great number of audience in Turkey. Documentary cinema works that by the time stay in the background behind the fiction movies, succeeded to survive in Turkey owing to the impact of various institutions and television channels. And the filmmakers of the documentary cinema proceeded to produce their works. During this process, documentary cinema producers that create their own cinema cult have stand out. Doubtlessly, one of these producers is Ertugrul Karslioglu who gets worldwide substantial fame with the documentaries he had produced. Karslioglu has become one of the prominent documentary producers raised by TRT institution that is highly important to Turkish documentary cinema history owing to its support to documentary production. Films of Ertugrul Karslioglu had met with audience in international platforms and received many prizes as well.

Belgeseller; üreticisinin bakış açısından, gerçeğin yeniden yorumlanması üzerine meydana getirilen sinema eserleridir. Belgesel sinema; en bilinen ve yaygın tanımıyla; gerçeğin yaratıcı bir biçimde yeniden yorumlanmasıdır. Belgesel sinemanın temelini oluşturan gerçek ve üreticisinin üstlendiği gerçeğe ulaşma tutkusu sayesinde yüzyılı aşkın sinema tarihinde, belgesel filmler büyük kitlelere ulaşmıştır. Ortaya çıktığı günden bugüne belgesel sinemada türler meydana gelmiş ve yıllar içerisinde kendi ekolünü meydana getiren akımlar ve yönetmenler boy göstermiştir. Dünyada büyük bir kitleye hitap eden belgesel sinema eserleri, sinema tarihi boyunca Türkiye'de de geniş kitlelere ulaşmıştır. Zamanla kurmaca sinema karşısında geri planda kalan belgesel sinema eserleri Türkiye'de kurumlar ve televizyon kanallarının etkisiyle ayakta kalmayı başarmış ve belgesel sinema yönetmenleri üretimlerine devam etmişlerdir. Bu süreçte; çalışmalarıyla kendi sinema ekolünü yaratan belgesel sinema yönetmenleri ön plana çıkmıştır. Bu yönetmenlerden biri de şüphesiz çektiği belgesellerle dünya çapında hatrı sayılır bir üne kavuşan Ertuğrul Karslıoğlu'dur. Karslıoğlu, Türk belgesel sinema tarihinde, belgesel üretimine verdiği destekle büyük bir öneme sahip olan TRT Kurumu'nun yetiştirdiği önemli belgesel yönetmenlerinden biri olmuştur. Ertuğrul Karslıoğlu'nun yönetmenliğini yaptığı filmler, uluslararası arenada da seyirci ile buluşmuş ve bir çok ödül kazanmıştır.
