20. Yüzyıl müziğinin gitar tekniğine etkisinin Leo Brouwer' in 'Estudios Sencillos' etütleri üzerinden açıklanması

Abstract

Bu tezde, günümüzde klasik gitar eğitimi veren pek çok kurumda öğretim amaçlı kullanılan Leo Brouwer' in Estudios Sencillos isimli etütleri incelenecektir. Çalışmada ilk kısmı Leo Brouwer' in hayatı ve bestecilik periyodları hakkında bilgi verir. Ardından, Brouwer' in, etüt yazma geleneğini sürdüren gitar bestecilerinden biri olduğu ve bu gelenekle ilişkisi tarihsel olarak açıklanacaktır. Çalışmanın son bölümü Estudios Sencillos etütlerinin, müzikal ve teknik analizine ayrılmıştır. Analizde kullanılan terimler listelenerek açıklanmıştır. Bu tez, 20. yüzyılda kullanılan besteleme tekniklerinin, gitar çalma tekniği üzerindeki etkisini açıklar.

In this thesis, I will examine Leo Brouwer's series of etudes Estudios Sencillos which are widely used in every guitar-teaching institution. The first part contains Brouwer's biography and a description of his compositional styles. Following this is an account that describes Brouwer's contextual placement in the historical evolution of the Guitar Etude genre. This is followed by an in-depth analysis of the mode of tonal progression found in the complete set of his etudes. To facilitate an understanding of the terms used, a glossary of important terms has also been included. Finally, this thesis aims to explain how Brouwer's modern compositional techniques effect guitar-playing techniques.
