Paylaşımlı ofislerde kontrol konusunda kullanıcıların memnuniyet analizi

Abstract

The advancement of technology has changed office interiors, as a result of these changes work itself and the way work is done also evolved. During this change, offices where people spend the majority of their time are designed with a user-oriented focus to fulfill their needs. On the other hand, the concept of flexible working gained importance, and home-office and remote working approaches quickened the transition to shared workplaces. Later, the negative impacts of home-office and remote working concepts on employees were observed, the kicking off the process of transition to shared workplaces. According to the literature, having control over the interior has a positive effect on user performance and well-being in coworking spaces, where the number of users and spaces is increasing by the day. The aim of the thesis is to analyze users' satisfaction in terms of control in coworking spaces. The concept of control studied by Evans & McCoy (1998) was used as a framework. Through literature, the control-related interior design factors have been identified as; flexibility, IEQ, privacy, and territoriality and these factors were used to analyze users' satisfaction. Within the scope of the study, a survey was conducted with the users of selected space: Originn Coworking Offices situated in Izmir. Managers were also interviewed, and their views and user feedbacks were questioned. It is anticipated that the findings will aid professionals in the design and construction of shared office spaces that would satisfy user expectations, the development of current shared office spaces, and the design of these facilities. Ofis iç mekanları, teknolojinin gelişmesi ve bu gelişmeler sonucu işi işin yapılışını da değiştirmesiyle yeniden şekillenmiştir. Bu değişim gerçekleşirken kullanıcıların gününün büyük bölümünü geçirdiği ofisler, kullanıcı ihtiyaçlarını karşılamak üzere kullanıcı odaklı tasarlanmıştır. Diğer yandan esnek çalışma konsepti önem kazanmış, home-ofis ve uzaktan çalışma konseptlerinin negatif etkileri çalışanlar üzerinde görülmüş ve bu da paylaşımlı ofislere geçiş sürecini başlatmıştır. Literatürde, kullanıcı ve mekân sayısı günden güne artmakta olan paylaşımlı ofislerde, iç mekânda kontrol sahibi olmanın kullanıcı performansı ve refahı üzerindeki olumlu etkisi görülmektedir. Bu çalışma paylaşımlı ofislerde kullanıcıların kontrol konusundaki memnuniyetini analiz etmeyi amaçlamaktadır. Evans & McCoy (1998) tarafından incelenen kontrol kavramı, bu çalışma için çerçeve olarak kullanılmıştır. Literatür taramasında, kontrol ile ilgili iç tasarım faktörleri; esneklik, iç mekân kalitesi, mahremiyet ve bölgeselcilik olarak tanımlanmış ve bu faktörler kullanıcıların memnuniyetini analiz etmek için kullanılmıştır. Çalışma kapsamında Originn Coworking Offices kullanıcıları ile anket çalışması yapılmıştır. Ek olarak yöneticilerle mülakat yapılmış ve gözlemleri ve kullanıcı geri bildirimleri sorgulanmıştır. Elde edilen sonuçların kullanıcıların beklentilerini karşılayabilen paylaşımlı ofis alanlarının oluşturulmasında, mevcut paylaşımlı ofis alanlarının geliştirilmesinde ve bu alanların tasarım ve inşa sürecinde profesyonellere fayda sağlaması düşünülmektedir.
