Abstract

Dmitri Shostakovich'in Aforizmalar'ı zengin Rus müzik mirasının bir parçasıdır. Eseri çevreleyen Sovyetler Birliği'nin siyasi ve kültürel koşulları Shostakovich'in müzikal dilini ve stilini açıkça etkilemiştir. Seri olmayan on iki ton sistemine dayanan eserin analizi, uygun tarihsel, bestecilik teknikleri ve stilistik bağlamlar sağlar. Bestecinin dilbiliminin kaynaklandığı geleneksel tonal ve 20.yüzyıl müziği parametreleri de bestecinin evriminin anlaşılmasını sağlar. Dmitri Shostakovich's Aphorisms are part of a rich Russian musical heritage. The political and cultural conditions of the Soviet Union that surround the work clearly affected Shostakovich's musical language and style. The analysis of the work which is based on the non-serial twelve-tone system provides appropriate historical, compositional, and stylistic contexts. The parameters of traditional tonal and 20th-century music from which the composer's linguistics originate also provide an understanding of the composer's evolution. The direct influences of certain of his contemporaries who he stated were as such are identified not just because Shostakovich stated they were but because the musical language confirms them. Thus, the Aphorisms are shown to be an essential work in not only the context of 20th-century piano music but also the greater evolution of Western Art music.
