Kathakali dans draması ifadelerinin hareketlerinin 3B animasyon formatında sunulması

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to study one of the oldest Indian classical dance-drama forms 'Kathakali', at the same time is to study on the specific areas such as costumes, facial makeup and the gestures in the dance to represent a section of it into 3D animation. This research aims to contribute the knowledge of story telling by dance drama and spread this dance forms information's to the readers. At the initial stage through this research, will analyze the visual language and message of the gestures and movements of the position of the hand, arm, body, head, and face as it expresses emotions. This process intends to find how these gestures convey in a very strong visual story telling and narration. Topics related to different types of Indian dances and their related backgrounds, origination, costumes and meanings are also studied within this research. Furthermore, this research will integrate dancing in animation and represent it in form of Kathakali.

Bu araştırmanın amacı en eski Hint klasik dans draması biçimlerinden birinin arkasında yatan teoriyi çalışmakla birlikte danstaki mimik ve jestlerin gerisindeki sanatı öğrenmek ve bir bölümünü 3B animasyon olarak sunmaktır. Bu araştırma dans draması ile hikaye anlatımı birikimine katkıda bulunmayı ve bu dans formunun bilgisini okuyuculara ulaştırmayı hedeflemektedir. Araştırmanın başlangıç aşamasında görsel dil ile el, kol, vücut kafa ve yüz hareketlerindeki jestlerle ve mimiklerin ardındaki mesajı duygu ifadesi açısından analiz edilmektedir. Jest ve mimiklerin güçlü hikaye anlatımı ve öykülemeyi nasıl aktardıkları konusu ve bazı farklı Hint dansıtipleri ve geçmişleri ile ilgili konular da bu araştırma dahilinde araştırılacaktır. Ayrıca bu araştırma animasyondaki dans perfomansını kathakali formunda sunmayı amaçlamaktadır.
