George Frederich Handel’s Xerses Opera from the Point of Riew of the Era, Style and Technic

Abstract

In this work in addition to the genereal sfecific of the 18th century music art, George Frederich Handel's musical concept and the composer's Xerxes Opera's have been studied from the point of technical and structural aspects. In the first part of the study, general specifications of Baroque Music, instrumental music and the instruments in this era and the general knowledge about the composers of the age have been used. In the second part George Frederich Handel's life, his aspects of life, muical concept, style and the tecniques and at the same time the effects on his composership have been explained in details. As forthe third part, the general properties G. F. Handel's Xerxes opera, itshistory, characters, subjects and the reviews on the opera have been given.

Bu çalışmada, 18. yüzyıl müzik sanatının genel özelliklerinin yanı sıra George Frederich Handel'in müzik dili ile bestecinin Serse operasının teknik ve biçimsel açıdan incelenmesi ele alınmıştır. Çalışmanın birinci bölümünde, Barok dönemin genel özellikleri, bu dönemdeki çalgı müziği ve çalgıları, dönem bestecileri hakkındaki genel bilgiler incelenmiştir. İkinci bölümde George Frederich Handel'in hayatı, dünya görüşü, sanat anlayışı, müziksel dili, stili, tekniği hakkında ve aynı zamanda besteciliğine etki eden unsurlar ile ilgili detaylı bilgi verilmiştir. Üçüncü bölümde ise George Frederich Handel'in Serse operasının genel özellikleri, tarihçesi, karakterleri, konusu ve operanın değerlendirilmesi hakkında bilgiler verilmiştir
