Elektro gitar eğitiminde caz, fusion ve rock türleri arasındaki kesişmeler

Abstract

Elektro gitar, 20. yüzyılın ilk çeyreğinden itibaren Caz ve Blues müziklerinde kullanılmaya başlamış, manyetik teknolojisinin ilerlemesiyle hem bu türlerde hem de takip eden popüler müzik türlerinde yerini arttırmış ve sağlamlaştırmıştır. Çalgının rolü türlere göre farklılık gösterdiği için her bir türe odaklı teknikler ve eğitim modelleri de farklılık göstermeye başlamıştır. Günümüzde elektro gitarcılar ve elektro gitar öğrencilerinin en sık icra ettiği türlerden üçü olan Caz, Fusion ve Rock türleri birbirlerinden farklı eğitim metodlarıyla müziğin farklı başlıklarına yoğunlaşmaktadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, Caz, Fusion ve Rock türlerine odaklanmış -18- elektro gitar metodunu, -26- başlık ve -43- alt başlık altında inceleyerek bu metodlar arasındaki ortak noktaların ve farklılıkların tespit edilmesidir. İncelenen başlıkların türlere ait metodlarda yer alıp almadığı yüzdelik değerlerle belirlenmiş, bu değerler türler arası karşılaştırma yaparken nicel veriler olarak kullanılmıştır. Yapılan karşılaştırma analizinin sonucunda, incelenen metodlar arasında Fusion türüne odaklanan elektro gitar metodlarının -35- başlık veya alt başlıkta tek başına ya da diğer türlerden en az biriyle birlikte başı çektiği görülmüştür. The electric guitar has been used in Jazz and Blues music since the first quarter of the 20th century, and has progressively increased and strengthened its popularity both in these genres and in the following popular musical genres. Since the role of the instrument differs according to the genres, each genre-specific techniques and training models have also begun to separate. Jazz, Fusion and Rock, which are three of the most frequently performed genres of guitarists and electric guitar students today, concentrate on different aspects of music with different teaching methods. The purpose of this study is to identify common points and differences between these methods by examining 18 electric guitar methods that focuses on Jazz, Fusion and Rock genres, categorising those methods under 26 titles and 43 subtitles. Whether the titles examined are included in the methods belonging to the genres is determined by the percentage values, which are used as quantitative data when comparing between methods. As a result of the comparison analysis, it has been observed that among the methods examined, the electric guitar methods focusing on the Fusion, lead in 35 titles or subtitles, alone or in combination with the other genres. Among the titles, it has been observed that 5 of the titles and/or subtitles were at an exact intersection between 3 genres. Keywords: electric guitar, Jazz, Fusion, Rock, music education.
