Evlendirme programlarının muhafazakar söylemler ve tahakküm ilişkileri bağlamında incelenmesi / Examination of marriage programs in context of conservative discourses and superiority relations

Abstract

Kökleri televizyon tarihinin ilk günlerine kadar uzanan Realite show programları, türüne özgü belirsiz karakterine rağmen, kitleler nezdinde en çok ilgi gören türlerden biri olmuştur. Türün özelliği olarak geniş kitlelere ulaşması ve içerikleriyle, izleyiciler nezdinde bu denli çekici olması, realite show programlarını disipline edici iktidar mekanizması olarak okumanın yolunu açmaktadır. Bu tezde muhafazakar söylemlerle realite şov programları arasındaki ilişki sorgulanmış, buluşma programları içerisinde değerlendirebileceğimiz, Türkiye'deki formatı evlilik teması üzerine olan, ancak RTÜK'ün yayın içerikleri ile ilgili kararı sonrasında, format değiştirerek devam eden Esra Erol'da programı muhafazakar söylemler ve tahakküm ilişkileri bağlamında incelenmiştir. Esra Erol'da programında yeniden üretilen söylemler, Michel Foucault'nun iktidar anlayışı ve muhafazakar ideoloji çerçevesinde tartışılmıştır. Reality show programs, whose roots go back to the first days of television history, have been one of the most popular genres, despite the ambiguous character of the genre. The fact that the genre reaches wide audiences and is so attractive to the audience with its content creates a way for reading reality show programs as a disciplinary power mechanism. In this thesis, the relationship between conservative discourse and reality show programs has been questioned. Esra Erol'da which we can consider among the dating shows, whose format in Turkey was on the theme of marriage, but continued by changing the format after RTÜK's decision, was examined in the context of conservative discourses and superiority relations. The discourses reproduced in Esra Erol'da were discussed within the framework of Michel Foucault's understanding of power and conservative ideology.
