You can observe animals living in the steppe rocks and river. The Euphrates flows along the rocks bordering Halfeti. You can see rare animals living harmoniously in the environment of rocks and water. Most of Halfeti has been submerged in water by the Birecik Dam which was built in 2001 between Birecik and Halfeti. Consequently many inhabitants of Halfeti had to migrate or move to new settlements. © 2010 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg. © 2014 Elsevier B.V.
