One of these caves formed by sea erosion is Damlatas Cave. The cave is situated on the west coast of the peninsula 100 m from the coast. The entrance to the cave is a few meters above the water and was formed within semi-crystalline limestone of the Permian Period. It was shaped by erosion over thousands of years and discovered accidently in 1948 (Aygen 1984). © 2010 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg. © 2014 Elsevier B.V.
