Second order semi-circles are added to the dipole arms which results in lateral size reduction of 23% and 8% with respect to standard LPDA and LPDA with first order semi-circle iteration respectively. Measurement and simulation results demonstrate that the antenna has a wide range of operating frequency from 0.87 GHz to 2.55 GHz and shows better gain variation than reference LPDAs. © 2020 Elsevier B.V.
