In this paper we examine the practice of hiding knowledge among stakeholders in which dimension what this knowledge is and whether there are differences among specific groups of stakeholders. This is applied to distributors producers consumers retailers suppliers and farmers working within the meat industry in Turkey. It shows how information hiding affects the traceability of food supply chains and circularity in the meat industry. Three different theories have been examined in this paper. Stakeholder theory helps to analyze traceability of food supply chains among stakeholders, the theory of industrial symbiosis aims to achieve an efficient circular food supply chain through 9R (refuse rethink reduce reuse repair refurbish remanufacture repurpose recycle recover) strategies by adopting traceability, the information theory is a key enabler to coordinate traceability from farm to fork to support a circular food supply chain. By using the theoretical lens this paper sets out proposals for policymakers and managers in food supply chains to ensure traceability and transparency to achieve circular economy. Although some prior studies address knowledge hiding information hiding hasn't been examined with traceability and transparency dimensions in Circular Food Supply Chain (CFSC) in B2B business. This study attempts to fill this gap in the literature improve theoretical understanding with our proposed framework and validating the impact of information hiding and reveal where knowledge is mostly hidden in terms of circular economy stakeholders and 9Rs in the meat industry. A proposed framework for managers and policymakers based on a circular economy can bring social economic and environmental benefits for the red meat industry in Turkey. Additionally it offers a framework and recommendations for other countries and industries for possible adoption.Article Citation - WoS: 65Citation - Scopus: 78Impact of information technology and knowledge sharing on circular food supply chains for green business growth(WILEY, 2022) Pervin Ersoy; Gulmus Boruhan; Sachin Kumar Mangla; Jorge Hernandez Hormazabal; Yigit Kazancoglu; Cisem Lafci; Boruhan, Gulmus; Hormazabal, Jorge Hernandez; Kumar Mangla, Sachin; Kazancoglu, Yigit; Lafci, Cisem; Ersoy, Pervin; Mangla, Sachin KumarRapid and dynamic changes in environment technologies consumer behavior policy making and climate are putting extra pressure to food supply chain especially in terms of efficiently manage food security food surplus food loss and waste. Risk and risk management tools are identified and classified according to the managers’ feedback and the theoretical background. The most important risks for the road transportation industry are analyzed their implications are discussed and mitigating strategies are offered. Methodology: The study used purposive sampling from international road freight forwarders that were members of the Association of International Forwarding and Logistics Service Providers (UTIKAD) or International Transporters' Association (UND). The data were collected by questionnaire method and analyzed with SPSS 22 and AMOS programs. Results: The results show that the road transportation industry has important risks that managers have not effectively managed. According to the results the main problems in 3PL companies are lack of coordination lack of visibility and poor service quality. The results support that delivery risk directly affects transportation quality and process risks. Originality In this study transportation-related risks are analyzed showing their impact on a company’s overall processes. Additionally we examine whether the transportation quality creates a mediation effect or information sharing has a moderation effect on a company’s process risks. Few studies exist on transportation risks and the role of mitigating strategies in reducing these risks and this is also a limitation of our research from the risk perspective. © 2021 Elsevier B.V. Anahtar Kelimeler: Stratejik Lojistik Planlaması, Finansal Değer Metrikleri, Katma Değer SüreçleriMaster Thesis Sürdürülebilir üretimde enerji yönetim sisteminin rolü: Sürdürülebilir kalkınma hedefleri ve tedarik zinciri stratejileri ile bütünleşik bir yaklaşım(2025) Hezarfen, Didem; Ersoy, PervinThe collaboration on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and the Energy Management System is essential for achieving sustainable production and future sustainability objectives.
