    Estimation of the Pause Times in Cold Forging Machines by Using Data Mining Methods

    Within the scope of the study, a system was developed to predict the pause times of cold forging machines using data mining methods, thus increasing machine efficiency. The industrial companies are seeking solutions to remove manufacturing defects from production and to maintain their market sustainability. In order to increase productivity, all production processes must be uninterrupted. For this reason, it is imperative that the error logs of the machines used in industrial systems be converted to infortmation. This study presents and compares data mining algorithms that analyze this information to reduce the cold forging machine working pauses. The most favorable data mining methodology selected as a result of comparison has been the J48 model. It produces meaningful results for large data sets and predicts errors based on a behavioral model. Using the J48 model, 28 faults have been detected in the data set. According to the results, it is estimated that there may be a promising method to reduce the number of cold machine working pauses.

    Application of Data Mining in Failure Estimation of Cold Forging Machines: An Industrial Research

    The industrial companies are now reaching out for solutions that would enable them to reduce the number of manufacturing defects in production so that they may be able to compete and maintain their sustainability in the market. All production processes need to be uninterruptible. This study utilizes data mining algorithms to turn the data created by machines into information. These data mining algorithms are effective tools for reducing the cold forging machine downtime. Furthermore the selected data mining methodology the J48 model generates meaningful results for a large real-life data set and predicts the error according to a behavioral model. The J48 model successfully detected 28 failures from this data set which suggests that it can be a promising method for reducing the periods of downtime of the cold machine.

Bu mobil uygulama kullanıcıların bulundukları yerleri değerlendirip yorum yapmalarını mekânlarda alınan önlemleri görüntülemelerini ve çeşitli engel türleri için gerekli düzenlemeleri olan yerleri aramalarını ve listelemelerini sağlar. Uygulama Java ile geliştirildi ve Android cihazlarda çalışmaktadır

    OWL ontology development for destination marketing

    Internet as a marketing medium in the tourism industry is a very valuable destination marketing tool. Different tourism authorities and organizations serve as marketing and service providers. They benefit from the use of Internet within the concept of marketing efforts. A new technology Semantic Web brought incremental changes by bringing machine-readable descriptions to current web interfaces of these organizations. This paper provides necessary framework for the applicability of Semantic Web technology on Destination Marketing. It creates a methodology on how web pages are created and analyzed with the value-added tourism marketing purposes. Semantic Web technology achieves such interoperability by referring to ontology models. The ontology presented here determines the value of this integration in destination marketing organizations. © 2011 Springer-Verlag. © 2011 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

    Melez veri tabanlı erişim çerçevesi için bir yöntem ve aracın geliştirilmesi

    Anlamsal web, web içeriklerinin diğer yazılımlar tarafından anlaşılabilir, yorumlanabilir, kullanılabilir olmasını ve bilginin paylaşılmasını amaçlamaktadır. Anlamsal web'de bilginin güvenliği erişim denetimi ile sağlanmaktadır. OBAC (Ontology Based Access Control – Ontoloji Tabanlı Erişim Denetimi) verinin anlamsal tanımının olduğu ontolojilere erişim denetiminin sağlanmasında kullanılan bir modeldir. RBAC (Role Based Access Control – Rol Tabanlı Erişim Denetimi) ise, rol tabanlı erişim denetimini sağlamaktadır. İlişkisel veritabanlarında RBAC, ontolojilerde ise OBAC kullanılmaktadır. İnsan Kaynakları (İK) uygulamalarında hem RBAC hem de OBAC kullanılmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, her iki yaklaşımın karışımı olan HAC (Hybrid Access Control- Melez Erişim Denetimi) altyapı mimarisi geliştirilmeye çalışılmıştır. İK alanında, OBAC ve RBAC birleşimiyle oluşan melez veri tabanlı bir erişim çerçevesi olarak HAC geliştirilmektedir. Bu çerçeveye erişim için, yöntem ve araç yazılım içeren bir yazılım mimarisi sunulmaktadır. Böylelikle, melez veri ile roller yönetilerek İK alanında veritabanı yönetimine bir çözüm getirilmiş olacaktır.

    Web tabanlı coğrafi bilgi sistemlerinde GML verilerinin XSLT yardımıyla görüntülenmesi

    In the GIS Industry, Development of Web-based Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is performed by popularity of Internet and Web Technologies. The internet has many advantages like working directly on the browser, platform independence and being freely available. There are a number of web-based GIS systems in existence. Each of these systems is developed by using various programming techniques, software and web technologies. So, there are various kinds of visualization results like static images or dynamic complex images with GIS functionality. Users easily obtain maps with using web-based GIS. On the contrary, the common method of GIS lacks interoperability and efficiency. To overcome these issues, we can apply the most common geographical data format known as Geographic Markup Language (GML). Geo data can be structured and visualized with this geographical data format. Because of the fact that the above mentioned GML format is a web-based technology, visualization has been made by a specific web-based graphical visualization technique, Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG). Due to the fact that there are more common properties between the two technologies, GML and SVG like being Extensible Markup Language (XML) based and other many features are described in the paper, GML documents have been indispensable appearing in SVG format. Web Feature Service (WFS) is a required technology to obtain a GML data for advanced Web-based GIS. Besides these technologies, Extensible Stylesheet Language Transformations (XSLT) transformation specification also has an important role in the development of efficient web-based GIS. To accomplish the transformation of GML data into SVG, XSLT works together with an XSLT processor. Geo Data can be visualized differently by using different XSLT style sheets. Geo data in the form of GML is first obtained from available WFS in real time and is then transformed into SVG by XSLT. At this point, it has been realised that Geographical data is needed to style effectively with Cascading Style Sheet (CSS) for supporting layer's visualization rules. As a result of this necessity, the importance of styling with CSS has been understood. In this way, geo data will be visualized as high quality vector maps in browser software and it is achieved data interoperability and efficient dissemination of maps. The software built on MapXtreme development kit using the C# programming language in the .Net environment with interactive user interface. The aim of this thesis is to provide an overview of the visualization of GML markup data format which is obtained from WFS. Construction of a WFS server and client together in the unique web project will also be presented to aid in the presentation of this paper.

    Systematic mapping study on question answering frameworks over linked data

    Employing linked data technologies and semantic endpoints for question answering systems are expanding approaches among the researchers. Therefore systems that combine syntactic and semantic analysis and enrich input questions by sentence-level recognition are examined. A systematic mapping study is conducted to identify and analyse the studies from major databases journals and proceedings of conferences or workshops published between 2010 and 2017. With a set of 14 research questions inclusion and exclusion criteria are specified. 53 studies are selected as primary studies from an initial set of 845 papers. This study provides a mapping while focusing on the methods and identifying the gaps between required and existing approaches. Popular approaches which have gained the most attention among researchers are given as a conclusion. Moreover a comparison between the authors' study and related work in the literature is given to point out the differences and the contributions of their study. As the result of the comparison it is concluded that the study is a novel and original topic on question answering frameworks. © 2019 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

    Among the reasons for the failure in the project management process the lack of realistic and clear objectives the failure to assign competent people to the steps expected to be realized in the project the inability to determine the time required for the fulfillment of the defined tasks the selection of people who cannot meet the expectations for the project team and the deficiencies in the project planning are important. In projects that are expected to be realized in institutions and organizations effective methods should be used to achieve success in the foresight stages necessary for the formation of the project team and the success of the planned project. The system model proposed within the scope of the study supports the decision maker by using artificial intelligence techniques in the effective evaluation of the cognitive competencies of human resources in the team building process in the projects to be developed the creation of the project team in line with the determined purpose and the determination of possible alternatives the prediction of the success of the project and its sub-components. As an example of the project sub-components of the proposed system model with the study carried out the machine learning model was established by evaluating the success of the graduate students in the doctorate program in the same field in line with the defined criteria in the projects they took in the graduate courses. High classification success has been achieved with Decision Trees with 0.97 accuracy from Support Vector Machines Decision Trees and K-Nearest Neighbors models. With the operation and joint use of the realized machine learning models the decision maker was supported in the evaluation of general and sub-objectives. © 2022 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
