    The approach of global trade focused on the reduction of tariffs after Second World War but the approach turned to the trade facilitations at this stage. Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) plays a part in the final phase of trade facilitation implementations. AEO status has the target of providing financial and nonfinancial benefits to the companies and also it is expected to provide accretion value to the sector concordantly. Companies should meet heavy requirements to gain and maintain the status, therefore they should put up with substantially labour and costs. Present study aims researching the effects of AEO status to the competitiveness of companies. There are made semi-structured interviews with foreign trade executives of 15 companies having the AEO status and transcripts of interviews are analyzed by text encoding using the factors determining the competitiveness basically. Results of analysis show that the factor of 'rapidity' is at the forefront with its effect directly by making difference from other companies and indirect effect with reducing costs by having the operating activities done more quickly. By the way the government, the regulator and supervisor of AEO system, comes also out with its role of moderator. Consequently, due to the facilitations resulting from AEO implementations, substantially cost reduces are acquired, an opportunity to imply cost based price strategy is provided to companies, also it is enabled for the companies to go towards to diversification with their nonfinancial benefits. Thus, companies acquire increase of their competitiveness.
