Abstract
21. yüzyılda bilgi teknolojilerinin hızlı gelişimiyle birlikte yaşam tarzı alışkanlıklarımız ve isteklerimiz değişiklik göstermiştir. Bu gelişim ve değişikliğe bağlı olarak firmalar da faaliyetlerinde yeni teknolojileri ve bu teknolojilerin sağladığı imkânları kullanmaya başlamışlardır. Yeni teknoloji ve stratejilerin firmalara entegrasyonu özellikle lojistik sektöründe rekabetçi olabilmek için çok önemlidir. Lojistik sektöründe bilgi teknolojilerinin kullanılması firmaların faaliyetlerini partnerleri ile birlikte eş zamanlı olarak koordine etmelerine ve firma faaliyetlerinin geliştirilmesine katkı sağlar. Örneğin lojistik faaliyetlerinde bilgi teknolojilerinin kullanılması firmaların geri dönüş sürelerini azaltır problemlere daha hızlı ve kolay yanıt vermelerini sağlar hasar ve kayıpları azaltır ve bu sayede firmalar risklerini azaltıp performanslarını arttırabilirler.kullanmaktadır. Sonuç bölümünde firmalara Türkiye'de lojistik sektöründe bilgi teknolojilerinin kullanılmasının sağladığı faydalar ve avantajlar önerilerle birlikte sunulmuştur.
