Abstract

Bu makalenin amacı edebi kurgu aracılığıyla \rmimarlık iç mekanlar kentsel çevre ve sosyal \rkonular arasındaki bağlantıları araştırmaktır. \rİpuçları ve yorumlar yoluyla mekansal \rtemsilleri ve özellikle toplumsal cinsiyet \reşitsizliği ve hatta esas olarak Charlotte P. \rGilman’ın ütopyacı kurgusu Herland’i \rşekillendiren cinsiyet ayrımcılığı gibi temalar \rüzerindeki etkilerini analiz etmektir. \rEdebiyat içindeki mekân hikâye anlatımının \rönemli bir parçası olarak görülebilir, çünkü \rokuyucunun yazarın literatür boyunca tam \ranlamıyla bütüncül olarak betimlemeyi \rumduğu çevreyi tam olarak kavramasını \rsağlar. Bahsedilen soruları ve sorunları ele \ralmak ve mekân cinsiyet ve edebiyat \rarasındaki ilişkiyi daha iyi anlamak için \rroman yazar yazarın yaşadığı dönem ve ilgili \ryayınlar derinlemesine incelenmiştir. Yapılan \ranaliz toplumsal cinsiyet rollerinin ortadan \rkaldırılması ve geleneksel alanların \rdeğiştirilmesi ile bu ilişkiyi ortaya çıkarmıştır, \rböylece distopya dönemine bir edebi eleştiri \rbiçimi olarak daha ütopik bir ülkeyi \rbetimlemektedir.
