Abstract
Although the disassembly line balancing problem is one of the intensively studied areas in manufacturing there is little research from a green perspective. This study therefore proposes an integrated framework that considers green and business issues simultaneously. To achieve this integration a hybrid MCDM structure fuzzy AHP is applied to determine the weight of each sub-criteria before fuzzy MOORA is used to rank the tasks. From the sensitivity analysis we calculate the ideal weights of the main criteria to minimize cycle time. The ranking achieved at the end of the proposed method is then used to assign tasks to each workstation. The results reveal that the increasing prioritizing of green criteria reduced the cycle time of the disassembly line by 5% contrary to expectations. We therefore propose a comprehensive and integrated analytical framework for disassembly line balancing problem that considers both green and business objectives. (C) 2018 Elsevier Ltd.
