Global competition forces enterprises to lower costs reduce inventories improve quality and provide better customer service. Therefore it is important for enterprises to integrate their business functions through the selection and implementation of appropriate ERP software. However there are three managerial problems existing in this decision process related respectively with the evaluation of criteria and alternatives the vagueness within the evaluation process and the multiple goals and constraints of the company. In this study in order to select the most appropriate ERP software the multiple criteria decision-making method (MCDM) is combined with 0-1 goal programming in order to present the combination of linear programming and a MCDM. This combination takes into account not only the need to hire expert opinion for strategic decisions such as ERP selection but also the limited resources available to enterprises. Also due to the fuzzy nature of the problem the MCDM technique Analytic Network Process (ANP) is combined with fuzzy logic, therefore fuzzy analytic network process (FANP) is integrated with 0-1 goal programming. The reason for employing FANP is its potential to facilitate the transfer the expert opinion within a network concept.Article Labor Dynamics in Law: Supply-Demand Analysis in the Long Run(TUBA-TURKISH ACAD SCIENCES, 2019-08-01) Isil Kellevezir; Guzin Ozdagoglu; Askin OzdagogluIn many areas of work labor dynamics fluctuate with the effect of the education policies environmental factors or economic conjunctures. In situations where fluctuations in supply and demand are not balanced either the unemployment rates follow an upward trend or the demands for the product or service are not met. One area where such fluctuations are observed is the field of law. It seems that especially in recent years the number of law faculties and the student quotas of the existing law faculties have increased to meet the demand for professionals such as lawyers judges and prosecutors. In this dynamic context the development of policies for taking necessary measures and keeping supply under control by correctly forecasting the time when the labor market is to be stabilized is critical for the future of the profession. The study reveals the status of the graduates of law and based on the available statistics offers forecasts for the distant future. The findings point out that if the market is not kept under control for the rapidly increasing supply level to meet the intense demand in the current situation there may be a great number of law faculty graduates above the demand level in the future.Article Mothers' Perceptions of Substance Addiction: A Research Design for Components of a Public Communication Campaign(TURKISH GREEN CRESCENT SOC, 2020-04-06) Umit Atabek; Gulseren Sendur Atabek; Ali Galip Ayvat; Ayvat, Ali Galip; Atabek, Umit; Atabek, Gülseren ŞendurBased on data from mixed designed research the purpose of this study was to develop design elements of a public communication campaign on the fight against substance addiction. While planning the steel cutting operations each item can be divided into smaller pieces then they can be recombined by welding. The objective is to minimize both the trim loss and the number of the welds. The problem can be seen as a natural generalization of the cutting stock problem (CSP) with skiving option [1] where recombining operation has a cost. In this paper a mathematical model for the problem is given and a dynamic programming based heuristic algorithm is proposed in accordance with the company needs. Furthermore a software which is based on the proposed heuristic algorithm is developed to use in MKA Company and its performance is analyzed by solving real-life problems in the steel industry. The computational experiments show the efficiency of the proposed algorithm. © 2021 Elsevier B.V. It also brings about the change of the privacy concept in terms of meaning and role. The personal information that is being shared via social media content is analyzed in a big data pool and is used by various sectors. In this context it is also discussed whether individuals have information about the privacy policies they approve while using social networks. In this study it is aimed to evaluate individuals' perspectives on privacy in social media big data and privacy issues from the perspective of communication privacy management theory. For this aim a qualitative research design and an in-dept interview technique was used in the study. In-dept interviews were conducted between November 2019 and December 2019 with 18 social media users who were selected by purposive sampling which is one of the non-probable sampling methods. The data was evaluated by the Miles & Huberman (1994) model. As a result it was understood that the participants mostly paid attention to the privacy of their private lives on social media and benefited from the privacy settings offered to them. On the other hand it was understood that the participants didn't read the privacy policies published by social media platforms and they approved those policies as they wanted to be members of those platforms. Even if they are worried about sharing their personal information it seems that they continue to sharein this context it can be interpreted as the participants' desire to be on a platfrom and to express themselves through sharing is suppressing their privacy concerns.Article Readings as a Helping Tools for Economics Education: Animal Farm(EGE UNIV FAC ECONOMICS & ADMIN SCIENCES, 2023-07-06) Umut Halac; Eda ErgunEconomic events have many social and political causes and consequences. Unfortunately it becomes meaningless to explain these events using only mathematical methods as time goes by. In addition the teaching methods of this comprehensive science to young generations have begun to be questioned. While the learning skills of generations change there is no drastic change in methods in economics education. This study aims to analyze the advantages of using literary works in economics education in the sample of Animal Farm as in using different training methods. Firstly the study examined the interactions between literature and economics briefly. Then the plots of Animal Farm were revealed from the allegory of historical events using defamiliarization. Finally the benefits of using Animal Farm in economics education were discussed. Using literary works like Animal Farm in economics education assists in raising future economists who can prick the bubble in the events understand the effects and create unique systems for societies more easily.Article Citation - WoS: 9RELATIONSHIP OF DAILY TIME SPENT \rOUTDOORS WITH SLEEP QUALITY AND \rEMOTIONAL WELL-BEING AMONG \rCOMMUNITY-DWELLING OLDER ADULTS \rDURING COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS(Gunes Kitabevi Ltd STI, 2021-09-27) DILBER KARAGOZOGLU COSKUNSU; Kenan Eren Sansal; Sezin Hatice Tanriover; FADIME ÇINAR; Leyla ATAŞ BALCI; MEHMET BENGÜ ULUENGIN; Uluengın, Mehmet Bengü; Balcı, Leyla Ataş; Coskunsu, Dılber Karagozoglu; Tanriover, Sezin Hatice; Sansal, Kenan Eren; Çınar, FadımeIntroduction: Given the recent constraints imposed due to the ongoing \rCOVID-19 pandemic and the importance of the daily light-dark cycle for \rentraining the human circadian system it is possible to state that the elderly \rare likely to be at serious risk of experiencing sleep-related problems. Despite historical references gentrification is generalized affecting rural spaces beyond city centers. This particular development is articulated by focusing on the works concentrating on urban and rural bases. In the contemporary discourse rural spaces are portrayed as hybrids between industrial urban and natural rural settings with leisure and tourism increasingly shaping their consumption without excluding the effects of capital flow. In the Global South countries industrialization alongside tourism facilities contributes to rural gentrification. These processes predominantly manifest in the service and production sectors blurring the distinction between urban and rural spaces and presenting challenges for research and conceptualization. Addressing this gap this study aims to contextualize the blurred urban-rural situation through a review of contemporary spatial issues with a theoretical contribution. By examining transformation processes in tourism industry and agriculture it seeks to offer discussions on the production of rural space. Employing a literature review and qualitative research on significant examples this study will explore rural gentrification via new demographic data within the frameworks of urban and rural studies providing insights into its implications and practices. Accordingly the effects of new capital flow through the rural space will be explored.
